Bioware says that this is because it has “maximized the current potential of each platform.

Fallout: New Vegas studio Obsidian Entertainment is now actively hiring for an upcoming next-gen game. This was revealed by a job post on the studio’s site, where it lists Obsidian as looking for a “Junior/Intermediate UI Artist” to “design the user experience for a next generation game.” Not only that, but the same artist will be responsible for “creating a ground breaking user-experience, which sounds fascinating. Odds are, we won’t hear about this title for quite some time since Obsidian does have a lot on their plate at the moment.

“The Chinese Red army is everywhere, and the player will first have to secure the surrounding mountain side and then fight their way into the Chinese base,” Gardiner told IGN. “The player will have to use a lot of their standard combat skills, along with several new tools that will only be available in the downloadable content. These include interactive Strike Teams under the player’s command and unique armor, weapons, and other exotic gadgets.

Bethesda also confirmed that the Fallout 3 DLC will be given a retail release later this year: The first add-on pack, coming in June, will include The Pitt and Operation: Anchorage, while Broken Steel and Point Lookout will come in a second pack scheduled for August. This free fan-made expansion is more like a full game, featuring new, fully-voiced NPCs, unique factions, and, of course, London, which serves as the background for your post-apocalyptic adventure. It was on course for release earlier this year, but then Bethesda dropped Fallout 4’s next-gen patch, making the game incompatible with Team FOLON‘s work. The solution was to use the pre-upgrade version of Fallout 4, and now, hosted by GOG, you can download Fallout London absolutely free.

Bethesda Softwork’s Sims-esque vault simulator Fallout Shelter is making its way to the Xbox One and Windows 10 platforms. The game, which was originally released for android and iOS back in 2015 was eventually ported and released for PC last year. The XB1/W10 version will be available on February 7, as a free download. As the game will be a “play anywhere” title, player progress is retained across both Xbox One and Windows 10, meaning users can switch seamlessly between platforms and pick up where they left off, bringing all their saves, progress, and Achievements with them.

Fallout Shelter, Bethesda’s runaway mobile hit, is about to get a lot bigger. The v1.4 update, due to release this week, will introduce “junk” items and a new crafting system. Junk can be collected by dwellers sent to explore the wasteland and will also be added as a fifth reward in “lunchbox” bundles players can earn in-game or purchase through microtransactions. The material can then be spent to create weapons or outfits in the two new crafting rooms coming with the update.

Three of Ubisoft’s biggest upcoming releases will not be available on the PC’s biggest digital distribution platform when they launch in the UK this holiday season. Far Cry 4, Assassin’s Creed Unity, and The Crew launch on November 20, November 13, and December 2 respectively, and will only be available to purchase digitally via Ubisoft’s proprietary uPlay platform, or other independent retailers such as Green Man Gaming. “We’ve been in discussions with Valve about Assassin’s Creed Unity but for the time being the game is not available via Steam in the UK,” Ubisoft told PCGamesN.
