This list comprises the most anticipated games of 2014. We, as individuals, have pretty disparate taste in games, so you’ll probably find that this list encompasses most things that you’re looking forward to in 2014, too. Of course, this is no guarantee that the games will be any good, just that they have potential in at least one Escapist staffer’s mind. From A to Z, here’s what we can’t wait to play in 2014.

“The Flash failed, among all the other reasons, because it wasn’t a movie that appealed to all four quadrants. It failed at that,” Muschietti told Radio Tu show La Baulera del Coso. “When you spend $200 million making a movie, [Warner Bros.] wants to bring even your grandmother to the theaters.” The Argentine filmmaker added that the Scarlet Speedster’s limited appeal compared to DC heavyweights like Superman and Batman was likely a factor, too.
Elendil remains squarely in the spotlight in The Rings of Power Season 2’s sixth installment, “Where Is He?”, going on trial not once, but twice! It’s a dramatic turn of events that promises major repercussions for the Lord of the Rings show’s future. The Escapist recently caught up with star Lloyd Owen for the full lowdown on Elendil’s biggest moments in Episode 6, including his defiant courtroom outburst, his “impossible” romance with Míriel, and what it all means for the ex-sea captain’s series-long journey towards the throne of Gondor.
It’s been a week full of promising headlines in the world of science and technology. An Israeli startup showed off a prototype smartphone battery that fully charges in two minutes; Google offered us our best look yet at its Project Ara modular smartphone; Obama wants everyone to have access to cheaper, faster broadband internet. Even Tom Wheeler’s hints at new net neutrality policy – while certainly deserving of scrutiny and suspicion – at the very least show that our voices of protest have been heard.

Space Marines Supposedly Get Sexy D-Dub Software – maker of Bonetown, supposedly the first adult adventure game in the world – is back with BoneCraft, a homage/parody of World of Warcraft and StarCraft, complete with butch space marines and lusty elves. D-Dub says that the game is supposed to be both adult and humorous, although honestly, it doesn’t look like it does either especially well. (Link) Steampunk Star Wars Gets Kind of Collectible The internet is a big old place, and sometimes you miss things – like this set of utterly gorgeous steampunk Star Wars figures from 2008.
As you can tell from all the pointy ears in the trailer, the show takes place in the world of elves before the “Conjunction of Spheres” occurred and brought together the worlds of men, monsters, and elves. While the plot specifics aren’t known, we do know that Blood Origin will feature a proto-witcher and the three leads featured heavily in the trailer here. Sophia Brown plays an outcast warrior who abandoned her clan to become a musician named Éile.
So what we’ll see in Season 2 is that all of our characters are existing on the same timeline. What that allows us to do storywise though is to play with time in slightly different ways. We get to do flashbacks, we get to do flash-forwards, we get to actually integrate time in a completely different way that we weren’t able to do in Season 1. Because, if you can imagine, if we were in three different timelines (in Season 1) and then flashed forward or flashed back, we would have been in four or five or six timelines — even I know that’s too much.
The folks at VG247 recently had the chance to submit questions from their community to Ubisoft’s Benoit Lambert, director of the upcoming Assassin’s Creed II. When asked if there would be sex in the game, Lambert replied, “Ezio is a womanizer. There’s a bit of sex. I can’t say more.” Other interesting answers: Ezio won’t be able to dismember opponents, but there will still be some “nice fatalities,” like “chopping up tippy-toes and stuff.
Like many Bethesda games, Fallout 4 has its share of bugs. Although many of them will undoubtedly be fixed in patches, we all know that some Bethesda games have bugs that persist forever. Or at least until the modders step in. A new mod called the Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch aims to “eventually fix every bug with Fallout 4 not officially resolved by the developers to the limits of the Creation Kit and community-developed tools, in one easy-to-install package.
Oblivion Battery Is the Best Anime of 2024 If you were to tell me that a sports anime animated by Studio MAPPA would be the best anime of 2024, I wouldn’t be surprised. However, if you were to tell me that sport was baseball, that would change things a bit. Baseball isn’t a sport that I would think to be suitable for an emotional story of memory loss and internal struggle with self-hate, but here we are.
Enjoy the critically-acclaimed story and check out each individual part in the sections below. This is an indie adventure, and you won’t find any text explanations here — this is all videos, but the archive still exists. Take trip back into the past and enjoy the fine Let’s Plays of GameFront. How to Reroll in Tribe Nine The reroll process for Tribe Nine is a little painful, as you’re required to play through a rather lengthy tutorial section before you can start messing around with the game’s gacha system. However, once you’ve completed the tutorial, you’ll be able to reroll by going back to the main menu, deleting your player data, and skip the tutorial on subsequent runs. This means that you just need to clear the tutorial one time, and the reroll process will be significantly easier.
Devolver Digital is bringing a polished turn-based action platformer to PAX South this weekend, with a full release coming later this year. RONIN is a freeware game that’s been floating around online since last Summer, but developer Tomasz Waclawek has re-tooled his game under the visage of his new publisher. The end result? The objective remains the same, while the visuals have been given some serious TLC. The elevator pitch?
Batman is awesome, but only because he’s so smart. He figures out exactly what he’ll need in the field and stuffs in all into his Batsuit and utility belt. This is exactly what inspired the U.S. Air Force’s “BATMAN” program, which aims to develop new equipment so that soldiers are as capable as Batman himself. BATMAN stands for Battlefield Air Targeting Man-Aided kNowledge. Sure, it cheats, but who’s really going to criticize the Air Force when it’s running a program called BATMAN?
Most of the video focuses on what the first one did, with Eddie Brock and Venom on the run from what appears to be a government entity. However, in between all the funny bits and catchy music, the trailer name-drops and then reveals Knull, the creator of the symbiotes. Check out the trailer below: Also known as the King in Black, Knull isn’t a run-of-the-mill Venom enemy. He’s one of the stronger characters in the universe, being the wielder of the Necrosword, which fans should remember from Thor: Love and Thunder.
As much fun as it is, assassins can’t be stabbing someone in the face all the time. Every good assassin needs a place where he can go to to plan his next mission, to store his face-stabbing accessories provided by Leonardo da Vinci, and to just relax, unwind, and be himself. Altair had the annoyingly remote assassin’s base in the mountains, and while AC2 protagonist Ezio’s home villa might be equally remote (who knows?
In an interview with director Sam Raimi over his return-to horror- film [I]Drag Me to Hell, MTV Movies Blog snuck in a few questions about the Warcraft film currently in production, which Raimi was announced to be directing back in July. Raimi took time to ix-nay the suggestion that the film would carry the subtitle “Rise of the Lich King” as reported earlier this month, indicating that the IMDB entry was likely edited by an overzealous fan.
