How Did Duck Dynasty Get So Popular? The A&E series about the bearded, duck-hunting Robertson clan drew in millions. The first season was okay; the second season blew up. Vox reports that at its height, first-run broadcasts had over ten million viewers. When it was all said and done, the show aired 11 seasons over 5 years (2012-2017), but its ending was controversial. The shtick that sucked so many people in was a blend in-the-woods action and evangelical family values.
House of the Dragon includes several nods to Game of Thrones in its second season finale, “The Queen Who Ever Was.” These callbacks are hard to miss – but did you know House of the Dragon Season 2’s finale also potentially ties into upcoming spinoff A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms?
House of the Dragon Season 2’s Potential Knight of the Seven Kingdoms Tie-In, Explained House of the Dragon Season 2, Episode 8’s possible link to A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms crops up during Daemon Targaryen’s heart tree-induced vision.
The series is part of Cooper’s bestselling Rutshire Chronicles, which first released in 1985, with the first book Riders. Rivals, which was the second book in the chronicles, is set in 1986 and follows the rivalry between Rupert Campbell-Black, an Olympic horse-rider, and Conservative MP, and Lord Tony Baddingham, the controller of a fictional regional TV station called Corinium. Baddingham is desperate to keep his franchise and hires Irish talk show star Declan O’Hara and Cameron Cook, a brash executive, to produce Declan’s program.
Remember on Friday when BioWare denied that Dragon Age: Origins had been delayed? Well it turns out that that wasn’t entirely correct, as BioWare’s Community Co-Ordinator Chris Priestly announced on the Dragon Age forums that the game had been pushed back to November. “Hi Everyone. As you have seen Dragon Age: Origins will be released on November 3rd in North America and November 6th in Europe on the Xbox 360 videogame entertainment system and PC.
Now renamed to Dragon Age: The Veilguard, BioWare general manager Gary McKay spoke with IGN in an interview and gave some new details about how romance will work in the new game. Whereas Dragon Age: Inquisition only allowed you to romance certain characters if you were playing as a specific gender, it seems that The Veilguard will remove these restrictions. This is in line with how romance worked in Dragon Age II, where Hawke was allowed to form relationships with any of their companions, regardless of gender.
I’m not saying that the previously released footage of Dragon Age 2 wasn’t cool, but anything can look good in a cutscene. BioWare’s latest trailer, called “Rise to Power,” takes things out of the pre-rendered zone and into the in-game zone instead, also giving some more hints about the story and characters in Dragon Age 2. Rise to Power includes Dragon Age 2‘s first public in-game footage, though it doesn’t seem to show off a lot of actual gameplay.
Dragon Age and I have quite some history together. If you’ve been on the site long enough, you’ll know that I’m unabashedly a huge fan of the Baldur’s Gate series – and even that might be an understatement. So back in the early 2000s, when it became known that BioWare was going to be making a spiritual successor to the franchise, I was just a little bit excited. I ate up every bit of preview coverage available for Dragon Age: Origins and sunk even more time into the game itself.

First up, the SpaceX and Tesla Motors CEO has announced that he wants to build a five-mile-long Hyperloop test track, giving both corporations and student groups a facility to test passenger pod designs. The facility will probably be built in the Lone Star State, said Musk to an audience at the Texas Transportation Forum (and on Twitter, as evidenced here). Given Musk’s affinity for the state (or rather, its willingness to let him build all sorts of industrial space, like Tesla’s Gigafactory, and a SpaceX launch facility), it’s no surprise that a Hyperloop track is coming its way as well.
We all know that Bethesda is probably working on Fallout 4, but it may be closer than we think. Earlier in the week, we saw a mysterious website surface, seemingly teasing a new Fallout game with a countdown timer. Adding credibility to those rumors, Bethesda has recently trademarked the Fallout 4 name in Europe. Normally, this would be a fairly inconsequential thing, but it’s occurrence just after that website popped up has set of a couple of alarm bells.
Bethesda today released a trailer to accompany the new update for Fallout Shelter. As previously reported, the update introduces junk items, which can be collected by dwellers out exploring the wasteland and as an extra reward in lunchbox bundles. These materials can be used in the also newly added crafting system and accompanying crafting rooms, to create weapons or outfits. The update also adds a barbershop room, more weapons and outfits, and more styles of dogs and cats, as well as the introduction of parrots.

Fargo Season 5’s Ending, Explained Not all seasons of Fargo have such an obvious main villain, but this season we got MAGA-minded abuser and murderer “Sheriff” Roy Tillman as the nemesis of the piece. His second wife, Dorothy “Dot” Lyon, escaped his clutches years ago and started a family. But when he discovered she was still alive, he sent a pair of kidnappers, including the imposing Ole Munch after her. They failed, but Tillman eventually got his hands on her and at the end of episode 9, she’d escaped her captivity and was hiding on his ranch.
FFXIV started as a fantasy MMORPG with a primarily medieval look. There were castles, villages, and little towns that all fit into a cute fantasycore setting. However, as the game has evolved, Square Enix has released increasingly outlandish clothing options for players who are obsessed with creating the perfect Glamours for their characters. Before I knew it, I was seeing Harajuku-style trendsetters walking around the high-fantasy streets of Ishgard. Players were prancing around in their cozy knit jumpers when December came along.
Five Nights at Freddy’s AKA “that game that Let’s Play-ers are always playing” is an indie survival horror series about being a security guard in a restaurant full of malfunctioning animatronic animals. If you’re a fan, you’ll be pleased to learn that the third installment of the series has just unexpectedly popped up on Steam, where you can buy it right now! Five Nights at Freddy’s 3 is a direct sequel to the first title, and is set thirty years in the future.
Following a launch plagued by stuttering, freezing, memory leaks, glitches, and more issues that resulted in the title being pulled from PC sale, Batman: Arkham Knight became available again last week. However, players continued to report problems with the title. As a result, Warner Bros. has announced that a full refund will be made available for anyone who wants their money back. “We are very sorry that many of our customers continue to be unhappy with the PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight,” Warner Bros.
