JRPGs used to be king of the roost, and in sales some of them still are, but the genre is often considered by fans and developers alike to be repetitive and somewhat stagnant. This is reflected in a recent humorous advertisement for Fallout: New Vegas in Japan, which questions why JRPGs have to be the way they sometimes are. The ad features eight protesters holding signs questioning various typical aspects of Japanese RPGs, and boy do they look pissed.
While having trouble connecting with critics, the first film was a massive success for Universal and Blumhouse, grossing nearly $300 million despite releasing in theaters and on Peacock on the same day. The powers that be couldn’t greenlight a follow-up soon enough, but they, as well as the cast and crew, know that they have to go big or go home. “It’s much bigger; the stakes are higher,” Hutcherson told Esquire.

Nintendo has deemed 2013 as “the year of Luigi,” and has spearheaded multiple projects that bring the more cowardly of the Mario brothers into the spotlight, such as New Super Luigi U. This year also saw the official announcement of a new Super Smash Bros. game, and you just couldn’t call it “the year of Luigi” if he wasn’t included in Nintendo’s mascot fighter. Luigi has been in every iteration of Super Smash Bros.
That being said, I’m here to tell you not to despair. The Promo Pack Mankey is actually shaping up to be a pretty damn strong card, especially in the face of the Pikachu Ex meta that’s dominating the game right now. Unlike the regular Mankey, Promo Pack Mankey comes with a move called Reckless Charge, which does 30 damage to the opponent, but also 10 damage to itself. This doesn’t seem like a very good move at first glance, but when you take that little bit of damage and then evolve it into Primeape, suddenly you’ve got a fairly beefy Pokemon that can hit for 80 damage with just two Energy.
Console exclusives are less common then they were in the past, but a really good one can still evoke rather potent pangs of jealousy from those who don’t get to play it. But one of the very best Microsoft exclusive games, Mass Effect 2, won’t be an exclusive for much longer. Source: Shacknews
– trollgod Nice article. I was even younger when I first played MoO 2, so I didn’t grasp too many of the complexities of the game at the time (such as using spies, being proactive with treaty making and like you, how invading rather than just nuking from orbit is a really good idea) but it’s been a favourite of mine for a long time. I recently re-bought MoO 2 through GoG.

Mythic Quest Season 4 will debut on Apple TV+ on Jan. 29, 2025. Just like its previous three seasons, it’ll get one episode release each week, and run till March 26, 2025. This means that there will be a total of nine episode in the season. If that sounds too short, however, it was also announced that the spinoff anthology series, titled Side Quest, will make its debut on March 26 with all four episodes released on the same day.
The announcement comes from a video posted on Nintendo’s YouTube channel. The clip begins with the current Switch model before transitioning to the Nintendo equivalent of an anime power-up scene, with the blue and red Joy-Cons transforming into the larger black ones that will come with the new system. The controllers then attach to their new screen, which appears much larger than the one for the original Switch and shows off what may be a new Mario Kart title.
When We Think One Piece Chapter 1113 Will Release Currently, fans expect One Piece Chapter 1113 to release on April 28, which is one week after 1112. That being said, it’s possible that might change, since that release date hasn’t been confirmed at the time of this article’s writing. Eiichiro Oda, the mangaka of One Piece, is known for taking breaks in between chapters, which causes a schedule that’s only semi-structured.

As is always the case, this list offers up some recommendations for new and original anime that look promising for one reason or another. While there are plenty of sequels coming out this summer that are worth watching, like the highly anticipated second seasons for Tower of God and Oshi no Ko, this list is solely about the new shows that you probably haven’t heard of that should be on your list.
Nintendo and The Pokemon Company are seeking an injunction against infringement and damages as part of the lawsuit that was filed in Tokyo District Court on September 18th. The day after Nintendo’s announcement, Pocketpair released one of its own, claiming to be unaware of the patents the other parties claimed they infringed upon. Read the full statement below: “Yesterday, a lawsuit was filed against our company for patent infringement. We have received notice of this lawsuit and will begin the appropriate legal proceedings and investigations into the claims of patent infringement.
“These beloved games will also be heading to Steam and PlayStation 5,” stated the press release without elaboration. Persona 3 and Persona 4 originally launched for PlayStation 2 in the first place, and 3 Portable and 4 Golden originally launched on Sony PSP and Vita respectively. It makes sense that these games would find their way back to PlayStation. Meanwhile, Persona 5 Royal is already available for PlayStation 4, making it playable on PS5 through backward compatibility.
It’s no secret that we here at The Escapist absolutely love PopCap’s Plants vs. Zombies. Like, we love it a whole huggy bunch – in fact, we love it so much that we devoted an entire article to the game’s growth and development in this week’s issue. PopCap was gracious enough to send along several pieces of concept art from the mind (and pen) of Plants vs. Zombies creator George Fan, with whom we spoke last year.
