Back in August it was revealed that Ben Affleck would be donning the cape and cowl to co-star as Batman in the Batman/Superman team-up sequel to Man of Steel. The reaction among certain sects of Bat-fans was, how shall we put it, angry. Affleck did have his defenders, but there were more than a few voices expressing outrage at the thought of Ben “Armageddon/Pearl Harbor/Gigli” Affleck taking up the mantle of the Bat.
Blue Beetle Blue Beetle barely makes the list because it’s partly a cookie-cutter superhero origin story we’ve seen too many times. Beyond that, though, is a story and hero different from the typical superhero mold. Jamie Reyes is searching for his place in the world after completing college, and he must face the role that’s been chosen for him – and the power that comes along with it. Xolo Maridueña is great in the film, and Blue Beetle shines because of the humanity in the story.
4. Marius In my time playing Avowed, I found very little compatibility in my play style and the benefits offered by having Marius (pictured above, right) in my party. While Marius’ passive abilities can help with early-game exploration, he’s very quickly outclassed when other Companions join your roster. Marius can help find items and plants when exploring but lacks power in combat. Here’s every one of Marius’ abilities and their upgrades:
13) HiPlay Batman Collectible Figure This HiPlay Batman action figure is an impressive recreation of Ben Affleck’s version of the character. While Affleck’s Batman didn’t get a lot of time to shine, the character’s design is still cool enough to justify getting this figure. The toy features impressive articulation, accessories, and even an unmasked head sculpt that looks too much like Ben Affleck! Along with several interchangeable hands and even a stand with the Batman v Superman logo included, it’s a great toy for a decent price.
Best Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero Character Interactions Unique dialogue will appear whenever two characters are pitted against each other. While a lot of interactions are basic, like Goku and Vegeta’s, others are much more interesting and have some real meaning behind them. Here are a few of the best that Sparking Zero has to offer.
Goku & Gohan (Future) Goku: “Gohan… This version of you I never got to see grow up… I just feel awful for what you went through.
How Hawkeye Kate Bishop Works in Marvel Snap Hawkeye Kate Bishop is a 2-cost, 3-power card with an ability that reads: “On Reveal: Add 2 Arrows to your hand.” She also has a chance to spawn two of four different types of arrows. Here’s a full list of them:
Acid Arrow: 1-cost, -2-power with an ability that reads: “On Reveal: Switch sides.” Basic Arrow: 1-cost, 1-power with an ability that reads: “On Reveal: If you play a card at this location next turn, +3 Power.
10. The Evil Within 2 (2017) In The Evil Within 2, you step into the shoes of Sebastian Castellanos as he enters the twisted alternate reality of STEM to find his missing daughter. This game takes psychological horror to a whole new level; combining stealth, survival, and action, you must scavenge for resources, solve puzzles, and face off against terrifying enemies. The game allows for more open exploration, adding a sense of dread as you never know what might be lurking around the next corner.
Best Perks for MW3 Ranked Play In total, there are seven main Perks that you’ll see across the three categories in any Ranked Play match in MW3. Those Perks are:
Assault Gloves Quick-Grip Gloves Marksman Gloves Covert Sneakers Lightweight Boots EOD Padding Tac Mask
While other Perks, such as Stalker Boots or Mag Holster, might have their niche uses in Ranked, they are not nearly as effective as the other Perks in their respective categories.
How Scorn Works in Marvel Snap Scorn is a 1-cost, 2-power card with an ability that reads: “When you discard this, return it to your hand and give +2 Power to itself and one of your cards in play.” The first part of Scorn is fairly straightforward: when discarded, Scorn will return to your hand with +2 extra power. This effect can trigger any number of times. However, Scorn will also bestow +2 power to a random card on your side of the board as well.
Best Striker Loadout in Warzone The Striker is a solid weapon by default, featuring terrific recoil control and damage range. While it doesn’t shine too brightly at close range, we can provide a little extra mobility for the SMG and increase its other stats at the same time with some specific attachments.
Muzzle: ZEHMN35 Compensated Flash Hider Barrel: Striker Recon Long Barrel Stock: Lachmann Recon Series Stock Underbarrel: DR-6 Handstop Magazine: 48 Round Mag

Gamers reacted to the unexpected and unintentional reveal of From Ashes, the launch-day DLC for Mass Effect 3 that turned up on Xbox Live yesterday, about as you’d expect: they got mad. Why, they demanded, was this bit of content, which was obviously ready in time for the game’s release, not included with the game – particularly since Collector’s Edition buyers will get it free, but those who opt for the standard release will have to pony up 800 Microsoft points, or about ten bucks, for the privilege.
The Mass Effect series has something of a Goldilocks problem when it comes to its RPG elements. The first game had a few too many – or at least, too many for the systems to comfortably handle – the second game had too few, and the third game, well, the third game will be just right if BioWare is to be believed. BioWare has said for months that Mass Effect 3 would be much better blend of action and RPG than previous titles, and at San Diego Comic Con last week, the studio put its money where its mouth is.
Deckbuiding In The Stars with Breachway I don’t know that I’d consider myself an expert in much. I do a lot of things, which means that it’s hard to develop expertise in any of them, even if I might hyperfocus on a specific hobby for a few years. But as a lifelong lover of card games and a huge fan of roguelikes, roguelike deckbuilders come close to being something I might actually be an expert in.
In an interview for the Emmys website, Timm chalked up Caped Crusader‘s gender-swapped Oswald Cobblepot to a shortage of viable alternatives. “[Executive producer] James [Tucker] and I were talking about the overview of [Caped Crusader],” Timm recalled. “And we said, ‘One of the problems with Batman, as he is, is there’s a lack of good [female] villains. You’ve got Catwoman, you’ve got Poison Ivy, you’ve got Harley Quinn. But it would be really good to have more female villains […] We never really could figure out exactly what to do with the Penguin, what the gimmick for The Penguin would be.
Come November 15, fans of Assassin’s Creed and consumer excess should be quite happy. The Assassin’s Creed: Revelations ultimate bundle, which GameStop recently unveiled on its site, will run you $99.99 for the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions, and a slightly cheaper $89.99 for PC users. You want more stuff to place alongside that statue of Reach’s Noble Team and the drivable RC car from Black Ops, right? Of course you do – it’s called a nerd shelf for a reason, and unless you willingly drop mad cash on plastic stuff, you’re no nerd.
When Is the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Beta? Shortly after fans see the Black Ops 6 Multiplayer reveal at Call of Duty Next, the game’s Beta will begin in Early Access. The event will showcase Black Ops 6 Multiplayer and Zombies on August 28th, two days before the Beta begins on August 30th. The Early Access Beta period runs for a generous five days, from Friday, August 30th to Wednesday, September 4th.
The newest trailer for Call of Duty: Ghosts focuses on the two key ingredients of every Call of Duty campaign, and both of its key ingredients; story and spectacle. While the story isn’t laid out clearly, there are a few tidbits. Ardent fans probably know that this new CoD run is set in a post-apocalyptic scenario where the US has been destroyed. What you may not have realized is that the plot seems to revolve around a father-and-son pair of elite “Ghost” operatives.
It’s just about a week until Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is released, and Activision has announced just how much PC you’ll need to run the game. Thanks to the game’s Steam listing, we now know the minimum requirements for the upcoming shooter. Of course, the recommended requirements are still under wraps, but at least you’ll know if you have enough horsepower to start the game up. Minimum Requirements
One of (if not the only) exciting thing about Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is that it comes packaged with a HD remaster of Call of Duty 4, widely regarded as one of (if not the) best in the series. However, if you were planning on buying Infinite Warfare just for the remaster, then selling your copy of the game, you may be out of luck, as the official website for the game has been updated, stating that the Infinite Warfare disc is required to play.
