The distribution deal for the hit RPG The Witcher 2 is a bit of a complicated thing. Namco Bandai handled European publishing chores for the PC version of the game but THQ recently announced that it will take care of the Xbox 360 version of the game in Europe when it comes out later this year. Atari is publishing the 360 version in North America; Atari Europe, to confuse things a bit further with not-really-relevant trivia, was recently acquired by Namco Bandai.

With October 30 quickly approaching, Ubisoft is counting down the days until Assassin’s Creed III‘s release with another new trailer. The video shows off Assassin’s Creed III‘s multiplayer modes, giving a glimpse of classic Deathmatch, team-based Domination, and the cooperative Wolf Pack. With maps ranging from the Boston harbor to the “blood-stained cotton” of a Virginia plantation, Assassin’s Creed III boasts 16 multiplayer characters, 14 abilities, and 10 perks, some of which are on display in this trailer.

Earlier this week, we learned that Obsidian and Bethesda were releasing patch 1.3 for Fallout: New Vegas (oddly enough known as patch 1.5 for the PS3 version) to lead into the upcoming Honest Hearts DLC. This year’s model is Ezio Auditore, who learns the killing trade as he unravels a conspiracy and exacts revenge for wrongs done to his family. The story isn’t particularly original, but is told deftly enough to make you emotionally invested in Ezio’s quest almost immediately.
