The Witcher 3‘s Blood and Wine expansion will launch at the end of this month, but a new developer diary is giving you some insight into the new region you’ll be exploring. The new region of Toussaint will feature beautiful vistas, interesting people, and famous vineyards. But there’s something stirring beneath the surface that will be one of Geralt’s greatest challenges. The new video is full of information. Just be warned that the devs are all Polish speakers, so you’re going to need to read some subtitles.
Mass Effect: Andromeda, the latest Mass Effect title from EA Games and Bioware, is due out on PC, Xbox One and PS4 in 2017. You’ll notice there’s no Switch release date in there. When the Switch was revealed it seemed to be running Skyrim: Remastered, and reports are putting its computing power around the level of a PS4, but don’t hold your breath for Andromeda on Switch, as EA has stated it doesn’t have any plans.

By way of explanation, BF1943 producer Gordon Van Dyke told G4 the following: Van Dyke has a point. Not releasing the game until it lives up to some undefined level of quality is the right decision. That probably won’t quell the anger of all those PC gamers who believe EA abandoned them to focus on the more lucrative console side of the industry, though.
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals is angry at a videogame’s depiction of “animal cruelty.” It has pointed its self-righteous finger of blame at videogames before, when it protested World of Warcraft‘s “seal clubbing,” Cooking Mama‘s lack of a vegetarian menu, and, perhaps most bizarrely, Super Mario 3D Land‘s apparent support of the fur industry. This time its disgust is focused on the latest installment of Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed franchise, for the revelation that the latest game, Black Flag, will feature whaling in some form.
Five days ahead of its release date, Dragon Age: Inquisition‘s six-hour trial will be available to EA Access members on November 13, EA announced. The trial includes character creation for the Inquisitor, formation of the Inquisition, the beginning of the journey through Thedas, and multiplayer. The progress made in the trial will carry over to the full game. EA hints members who participate in the trial will explore the Hinterlands where the mages and templars are fighting.

And like Mark Scout and his fellow innies’ efforts to bring down Lumon Industries, the odds of Erickson and his cast and crew didn’t look great. There were rumblings of spiraling budgets (each episode reportedly cost $20 million), extensive reshoots, and delays that weren’t entirely strike-related. These were all seemingly signs that Severance‘s sophomore outing was in trouble. Happily, that’s not the case. While Severance Season 2 is at times more ungainly than its predecessor, its engrossing character work and deftly handled mystery box-style plotting keep it tethered to what made the show so great to begin with.
Is the Switch Axe or Charge Blade Better in Monster Hunter Wilds? It’s impossible to say that one weapon is definitively better than the other in Monster Hunter Wilds. Both are extremely solid choices, but even though they look similar, they do cater to completely different play styles. To cut straight to the chase, if you want more defensive capabilities, go with the Charge Blade. It comes with a shield, allowing you to defend and tank oncoming hits.
I don’t play MMOGs and I already use my real name for (almost) everything I do online, so, for me, this whole episode seemed a bit like a storm in a teacup. Then again, I’m not a Nine-to-Fiver with a vested interest in “fitting in” to a corporate culture that looks down on and despises those who use their lunch hour to craft a horn of forging. Nor am I so ultra-famous that my leisure hours would be at risk of continual interruption should the whereabouts of my level 80 Paladin become known (rest easy, citizens, I don’t have one).
All Difficulties in Shin Megami Tensei V Vengeance & How They Work Vengeance offers three difficulty options, much like its original release: Casual, Normal and Hard, which work pretty much like their names suggest. Casual is the easiest difficulty, while Hard offers the biggest challenge for those willing to go this extra length. As an extra note, the Safety difficulty, originally a free DLC for the base game, is once again available in Vengeance, but you need to download it first.
Fans took to social media to share their despair. They’d wanted a Sonic movie since forever, and it was ruined before it had even come out. Or so they thought! Paramount was able to turn things around. A new trailer came out where Sonic actually looked like Sonic, and fans raised their hopes. And they were right to do it because when the movie came out it was actually good.

6. Mass Effect 3 There’s a salarian scientist by the name of Padok Wiks. You probably haven’t met him, because you probably loved Mordin Solus so much that you went out of your way to keep him alive at the end of Mass Effect 2. And what’s not to love? Mordin is funny, smart, sings show tunes, and he’s even good in a fight.
What Is Starlight’s Secret in The Boys Season 4, Episode 4? Vought puts on an event in Episode 4, “Wisdom of the Ages,” and teases that Firecracker has information about Annie January, aka Starlight. It goes on for hours and features a ridiculous musical number with The Deep and Firecracker, but as it starts to wind down, Annie’s childhood rival reveals that, six months prior, the former member of The Seven got an abortion.
The Discovery certainly knows how to hook its audience. Its opening scene sees Mary Steenburgen interview Robert Redford, and he reveals to us (it’s not an in-universe secret at this point) that he’s made a discovery: there is an afterlife. He doesn’t know what form or shape it takes, but he is definitive in his resolve that he has proved that some part of us continues on after death. The interview is taking place six months after the discovery went public; people have been killing themselves in order to move on to the next stage of existence, and he wants to do some damage control.

Of course, you can just grab all 40 Tumors from the Hollows with this quick text guide.
We’re searching for the next great sci-fi filmmaker with the Prototype contest, where eight filmmakers are vying for a chance to win a feature film deal with New Regency. You can check out the short films by all eight finalists right now, but if you want to go behind the scenes to learn more about the creation of these movies, we’ll be publishing weekly interviews with the Prototype filmmakers. Today, you can take a peek into the minds behind Shut-Eye in our interview, where director Dan Bush talks about where the idea behind the film came from: For more, check out our interview or go watch Shut-Eye for yourself.
Gone Girl-lite, The Girl on the Train is a plodding, meandering thriller that just goes to show what happens when you get a director who isn’t as good at this sort of thing as David Fincher is. Not that Tate Taylor isn’t a good director – his last two features would suggest that he is – but he doesn’t seem to know how to generate any suspense or audience interest in a movie that’s supposed to have lots of it.
