The isometric RPG game is based on Paizo Publishing’s Pathfinder franchise. It is also inspired by other games such as Baldur’s Gate, Fallout 1, Fallout 2, and Neverwinter Nights. The game’s Kickstarter campaign launched back in July 2017 and received over USD $900,000 in funding from more than 18,800 contributors. An indirect sequel, called Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous, received over $2,000,000 in funding from its Kickstarter campaign. It will first launch on Steam and GOG, but more platforms could be considered in the future, just like with its predecessor, Kingmaker.

Pokemon TCG Pocket‘s new Mythical Island booster pack will be released on Dec. 17, at 1 a.m. Eastern Time, which is the game’s daily reset time. Yesterday, a Facebook post made the rounds claiming that Bioware had cancelled Mass Effect: Andromeda’s planned DLC. While that Facebook post turned out to be a hoax, sources are telling Kotaku the gist of the post was correct: Mass Effect: Andromeda will not be getting any single-player DLC. This would be the first game in the series not to receive any single-player content post-launch. Some were good, like Lair of the Shadow Broker, and some were not so good, like Mass Effect 3‘s Citadel.

It’s never stated outright, but The Penguin Episode 4 strongly implies that Sofia’s late father, Carmine Falcone, was the real Hangman. As Sofia learns from Gotham Gazette reporter Summer Gleeson, there’s a mountain of circumstantial evidence tying Carmine to a decade’s worth of hangings – including the apparent suicide of Sofia’s mother, Isabella.

There’s no word on what the project is that sidelined Turner-Smith, but the shooting for The Witcher: Blood Origin was delayed slightly and it caused her to need to remove herself from the role she’d been attached to since at least January. The only film that the actress is set to film right now is Borderland, an action thriller that doesn’t look like the kind of thing that would be something you’d give up starring in a hotly anticipated Netflix TV show for.

Going live on September 29th, the upcoming update for The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings upgrades the game to version 2.0, includes over 40 under-the-hood tweaks and adds a few very welcome features. The biggest improvement, at least on paper, is the addition of a proper tutorial. Many players struggled with the opening segments of the game, which see albino-playboy-cum-monster-hunter Geralt taking part in a series of increasingly frantic battles, culminating in a mano-a-garra slugging match with a dragon the size of jumbo jet.

CD Projekt announced today that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will ship in February 2015 and not later this year, as had originally been planned. In an “open letter,” the company said its goal for The Witcher 3 is to create a game that will properly “crown” the many years it’s put into the franchise. It’s an ambitious endeavor – the first two Witcher games were pretty fantastic, after all – and after looking at the current state of the game the studio decided to hold off on putting it out.

By almost every measure, The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt was a huge game. Drawing in RPG fans with its fun gameplay, complex story and detailed world, it continues to hold many gamers in its thrall. A big part of this, of course, is the fact that its developers at CD Projekt RED have expended no small amount of effort improving on and adding to the base game released back in May.

Unfortunately however, this praise has not been without some caveats.

Production of the film is being handled by Studio Mir, the South Korean animation house responsible for Voltron: Legendary Defender and most of Avatar: The Last Airbender sequel The Legend of Korra. Meanwhile, the showrunner of Netflix’s live-action The Witcher series, Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, and writer Beau DeMayo are both involved in this film. Their involvement suggests the film may cross over with the series in some way, though that is unconfirmed at present.

The third season of the show finds Geralt (Henry Cavill), Yennefer (Anya Chalotra), and Ciri (Freya Allan) together as one happy little kind-of family, but things are not actually going to go all that well on the Continent. Everyone is after Ciri, so Geralt takes her into hiding, though just how effective that is is unclear considering the amount of monsters and chases the Witcher season 3 trailer features. Along for the ride, and comic relief, is bard Jaskier (Joey Batey), and the group eventually ends up in the protected fortress of Aretuza where politics and drama are afoot.
