Nightmares are the hulking brutes of the Typhon ecology. They’re enormous, dangerous creatures that hunt you down, seemingly at random, and only after you’ve injected yourself with multiple Typhon powers. Unlocking those powerful abilities also draws the nightmare to you. If you’re sick of dealing with the nightmare and want a permanent solution, here’s what you’ll need to do. Nightmares are massive, semi-unstoppable Typhon creatures that randomly appear and hunt you down as you explore the Talos 1 station.
Hope you keep it up. – Dave In Response to “Speed Thrills” from the Escapist Lounge: I just read your article in 3 minutes 25 seconds. Beat that! – Andrew In Response to “Speed Thrills” from the Escapist Lounge: I have been in QA for the game industry for a few years now. Exploits described in the article are what we call “Aggressive User” bugs. For the most part we decide not to fix these bugs as they can be time consuming to fix and what do you really accomplish?
Despite often feeling more like a lecture than anything else, Brad Bird’s Tomorrowland does nonetheless still entertain. It’s often incredibly problematic, but it sweeps you up in its visuals and world-building, even if it’s more likely to leave you wanting more of the futuristic world of the title than you’d hope going in. Yes, Tomorrowland is a wonder to behold, but we only get to see glimpses of it. Hopefully, at some point in the future, we’ll get a film that more thoroughly explores it.
According the German gaming publication Computer Bild Spiele, Ubisoft would only release an early review copy of Assassins Creed 2 if the magazine agreed to give the game its highest grade, “sehr gut” or “very good” in German. The magazine refused and audaciously decided to tell their customers about it as you can see in this poorly translated editor’s note. Computer Bild Spiele plans to review the game only after it has been officially released.

There are two types of door / safe locks — keycards, and keycodes. Keycards have to be collected, then used on the specific locked door. Thankfully, keycodes don’t need to be found. If you know the code, you can input and unlock doors or safes at any time. Knowing where to get the codes and keys you need makes life just a tiny bit easier. Check out the tally below, and check back soon as we add new entries to the big list.

When Does Modern Warfare 3 (MW3) Season 2 Start? Season 1 brought a lot of fun to MW3. After kicking off in December 2023, it brought events like the CODMAS event, which included plenty of holiday-themed game modes and the addition of Santa Gnaws, a horrific version of Santa Claus that terrorized players in Multiplayer. Later, The Boys returned to the game for the The Boys: Supe Takedown event, bringing more skins based on characters from the Prime Video series.
How To Find Mariah Carey in Fortnite Chapter 6 The Winterfest Fortnite update sees snow make its way to the Battle Royale Island. A good portion of the map is covered, and smack dab in the middle of it all is a giant block of ice. It’s sitting southwest of Brutal Boxcars, on a mountain that’s pretty hard to miss. Most people won’t want to land there at the start of the game because there is almost no loot, but anyone brave enough to head there first will find a couple of chests.
Warzone Season 3: Which Guns Have the Fastest TTK The SOA Subverter, the HRM-9, and the MCW JAK Raven Kit are the weapons with the fastest TTK this season. All three of these guns represent a different style of gameplay because there is no definitive answer for the quickest kill time in Warzone aside from sniper rifles. At range, the SOA Subverter is going to have a better TTK than any other rifle or light machine gun.
The Lego Movie was a surprise critical and box-office smash for Warner Bros, with a direct sequel and a Ninjago spin-off movie both in the works. Now, a third feature is in the works: A solo outing for Will Arnett’s brooding Lego-version of Batman. The announcement coincided with the not-as-happy news that the official Lego Movie sequel had been delayed from it’s May 2017 release date. That film’s director, Chris McKay, will instead take over a fast-tracked production for Lego Batman, with Lego franchise-overseers Roy Lee, Dan Lin, Phil Lord and Christopher Miller also onboard.
Is Temple Getting a Second Season? As of the time of writing, there hadn’t been any official announcements about a season 2 of Temple. Originally streamed by Crunchyroll, the anime ended in late 2023, with no further updates on its status since, leading us to believe that there are no current plans to keep the series going for now. Nothing is confirmed, though, and we could still get a surprise announcement.
Fallon’s terrible, horrible, no good, very bad couple of weeks started on Thanksgiving. He appeared during the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade with a pair of sunglasses on and had people accuse him of being hungover. After getting past that, it was time for his holiday special, Jimmy Fallon’s Holiday Seasoning Spectacular. The reactions were mixed, to say the least, and even some of his biggest supporters started accusing him of “marketing his ego.
Reynolds and Lively are the Marmite of celebrity couples: you either love them or you hate them. And unfortunately, the pendulum of the internet is swinging more towards “hate them” these days. The most recent outrage is regarding some comments Reynolds made about his and Lively’s upbringings during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. When talking about how he and Lively raise their kids, he said, “I try not to impose upon them the difference in their childhood to my childhood or my wife’s childhood.
Indie outfit 11 Bit Studios did something a little weird earlier this month, offering a half-price preorder deal on a game that hadn’t been announced. At $7.50, the amount involved wasn’t outrageous, but there was no getting around the fact that people would be throwing their money into a black pit and hoping for something good to come out. Some (including me) thought it was clever, while others saw it as a preorder cash grab run amok.

Burnout 3 First mentioned by Frezzato Racing games can always get your blood pumping, simply through the speed and competition. Burnout 3 is no exception, especially since it introduced the series’ “Takedown” mechanic. Smash into an opponent’s car and cause them to crash, and you’ll get an extension on your boost meter.
Special thanks to crf_stewarje for starting the thread! Batman: Arkham Asylum First mentioned by Lao Jim Rocksteady’s take on the Batman universe garnered plenty of accolades, and rightly so. Not only was one of the best superhero games of all time, it was a legitimate Game of the Year contender in 2009. Its combination of comic style and realism made it the first game where the player really felt like they were Batman.
Historical figures, such as Leonardo Da Vinci, have been featured in past Assassin’s Creed titles, and Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood is set to add another to the roster. The PlayStation 3 version of Brotherhood will be getting free launch-day DLC called the Copernicus Conspiracy that is focused on Nicolaus Copernicus. Copernicus was an astronomer that lived from 1473-1543 and is known for proposing a heliocentric model of the universe. Up until his time, many believed that the Earth was the center of the universe and everything in space was revolving around it.
Sony announced earlier today that owners of certain PlayStation 3 games will be able to upgrade to PlayStation 4 versions at a “significantly discounted price.” Details are a little thin but the idea is simple enough: Gamers can purchase new PS3 games without fear of having to pay full pop for the PS4 editions if and when they upgrade to the new console. The first “publishing partner” to talk about its involvement in the program is Activision, which said shortly after the Sony announcement that gamers who purchase Call of Duty: Ghosts for the PlayStation 3 can upgrade to the PS4 edition for $10, €10, or £10, depending on where they live.
