Sword of Convallaria Best Beryl Build Overview

Beryl is a Destroyer-type mage in Sword of Convallaria, and she’s easily the best DPS unit in the game at the time of writing. Because she’s a Destroyer, she has an inherent advantage over Defenders, Breakers, and Seekers, making her an easy fit into any team composition. Of course, you still have to watch out for the Watchers. But other than that, Beryl excels at long range damage and one-shotting mobs.

Best Skills for Beryl

As always, do be warned that you cannot reset the skill tree for your characters in Sword of Convallaria. It’s imperative that you pick the right skills for Beryl, or you’ll end up having to farm additional resources to unlock the skills you missed out on. While you could also spec Beryl into a more versatile unit who’s able to heal, I’ve found much better success just utilizing her as a pure magical DPS character instead. Once you start unlocking her AoE moves, she becomes very deadly and is often able to clear groups on her own. If you’ve got spare Castalias after getting Beryl maxed out, you can also consider going back and unlocking the following skills for her:

Firewalking: (Reaction) Become immune to Scorch and burning tiles. When on a burning tile, the DMG taken is decreased by 10%. At the end of the turn, recovers 20% of the character’s HP. First Aid: (Healing) Single-target healing. Heals 80% HP.

Best Gear for Beryl

For Beryl’s weapons, here are the ones you should consider:

Starry Sky Heritage: Increases HP by 5%. Grants bonus M.ATK equal to 3% HP at the start of the battle. Resentment Broom: Increases AoE DMG by 15%. After dealing DMG with an Active Attack, there is a 25% chance to inflict Life Loss equal to 20% M.ATK on the target for 1 turn.

You can also consider the Explosive Crystal for her if you don’t have any Legendary weapons just yet. As for her Trinkets, here are the top contenders:

Roaring Flint: Deals fire Piercing DMG equal to 10% of the character’s HP to all enemies within 2 tiles around the target. Can be used up to 1 time per battle. Fancy Hat: Gains Immunity to Disrupt. When Healthy, M.DEF increases by 3%.

Finally, for her Tarot Whisper, there’s really only one good option, as listed below:

Dream of the Magician: Increases DMG dealt by 8%. When casting skills, for each additional hit on 1 enemy, the DMG dealt increases by 4%, up to 12%.
