All Free Games on the Epic Games Store

Every week, the Epic Games Store gives away at least one free game. And we’re not talking about titles that didn’t sell or are infamously bad. The store has given away everything from little indie games to AAA titles, and all you need to claim them is a free Epic Games Store account. You don’t even have to download the launcher until you want to play them — you can claim them through their respective web pages. Here’s are the Epic Games Store’s current free games.

Mortal Shell – Now to March 20

Developer: Cold SymmetryPublisher: PlayStack Mortal Shell is a soulslike that takes Dark Souls’ whole undead thing a step further by not giving you a body. Instead, you take possession of other enemies and murder your way through some equally miserable monsters. If you’re a fan of gloom, gloom and more gloom you’ll be right at home. It was reasonably well received on launch, and it’s sitting at a 4.2 out of 5 on the Epic Games Store. Then-editor Nick was a fan, crediting it with getting him into Soulslikes, but Yahtzee’s Zero Punctuation was less positive, explaining it gave him little reason to go back to it. World of Warships DLC – Now to March 20

You can also claim some anniversary DLC for World of Warships, which as follows.

However, the blurb mentions that the content “..can only be unlocked once with World of Warships game accounts that were created through Epic Games Store.” So if you’ve already got a World of Warships account created through any other platform, you’re out of luck, which is disappointing.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic I and II – Now to March 20 (mobile only)

Developer: BioWare / Obsidian Entertainment Publisher: Lucasarts / Aspyr If you’ve got a half-decent mobile, either iOS or Android, you can install the Epic Games Store mobile app and claim both the original BioWare Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic and its sequeln, Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic: The Sith Lords. Both of these are superb Star Wars RPGs, set long before the movies so BioWare and Obsidian could more or less do anything they wanted without contradicting canon. They’re non-canon since Disney took over, but you’ll never get tired of lightsabering your way through Sith troopers or, if you lean towards the Dark Side, using force lightning to fell your foes. There are some amazing moments out of combat, too, with a story that’ll have you hooked. My proudest, by which I mean most evil, moment was taking a Romeo and Juliet-style love story and ensuring that absolutely everyone died. Whether you’re Jedi or Sith, you can download the Epic Games Store app on mobile and claim both these games for free.

Jurassic World Evolution 2 – March 20 to March 27

Developer: Frontier DevelopmentsPublisher: Frontier Developments Welcome, to Jurasi OH MY GOD IT’S EATING MY FACE! This management sim puts you in charge of your own dinosaur theme park, discovering dinosaur DNA and using it to create new dinos. The objective of Jurassic World Evolution 2, in theory, is to make as much money as you can pulling in the visitors. In practice, there’s just as much fun to be had cutting corners and watching as your dinosaurs run rampage, munching on paying customers, especially if you accidentally on purpose leave a gate open. The original Jurassic World Evolution was a previous Epic Games Store freebie and while this doesn’t include all the DLC, it’s still a must-have for dino fans.

You’ll have to install the EGS launcher to play them, but you can happily claim them without the launcher and install the launcher later if you go via the EGS web store.
