Multiversus Is Reportedly A Wb Smash Bros Like Platform Fighting Game

The Lord of the Rings and Scooby-Doo are reportedly only two of the properties Warner Bros seeks to include in Multiversus, though. Tom & Jerry, among others, are also said to be joining the roster of fighters. What’s most concerning, though, is that Grubb says NBA star LeBron James may join Multiversus as one of the first DLC characters, having starred in Space Jam: A New Legacy, and this would potentially open the door for endless possibilities. A platform fighting game featuring some of Warner Bros’ most iconic characters is intriguing to say the least, though the game is reportedly on a tight budget. Multiversus may also become a free-to-play title, though the exact payment model has not been decided. Still, you can expect to see lots of DLC fighters as the company teases additional off-the-wall fighters in the future. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate wrapped up its roster just last week with the inclusion of Kingdom Hearts protagonist Sora, but Nintendo’s platform fighter isn’t the only crossover brawler on the market. Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl has already been making waves with its lineup of cartoon fighters, including the likes of SpongeBob SquarePants, Danny Phantom, and Invader Zim. There’s also PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, Sony’s long-forgotten PlayStation 3-era mascot fighting game. If Warner Bros’ Multiversus manages to make it into players’ hands with characters like Gandalf, Shaggy, and Batman, it will only be the latest in a long line of crossover fighting games.
