Persona 3 4 5 Are Headed To Ps5 And Steam Too
“These beloved games will also be heading to Steam and PlayStation 5,” stated the press release without elaboration. Persona 3 and Persona 4 originally launched for PlayStation 2 in the first place, and 3 Portable and 4 Golden originally launched on Sony PSP and Vita respectively. It makes sense that these games would find their way back to PlayStation. Meanwhile, Persona 5 Royal is already available for PlayStation 4, making it playable on PS5 through backward compatibility. Steam also already has Persona 4 Golden, Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, and Persona 5 Strikers, so it’s fitting that 3 Portable and 5 Royal should complement that lineup. With Persona 3, 4, and 5 now announced for Xbox, PS5, and Steam, the odd man out is Nintendo Switch. Leaks from half a year ago claimed that at least Persona 3 and 4 will come to Switch eventually, so perhaps these announcements are being saved for a future Nintendo Direct. That’s the hope, anyway. Update 6/14/22: An update to the Japanese Persona website indicates that P3P and P4G will come to PS4 specifically, as opposed to PS5. They will of course be playable on PS5 anyway through backward compatibility. P5R launches on October 21 on PS5 and Steam in addition to on Xbox and Windows.
